Mysticism
Khors write the kind of black metal that is heavy on atmospherics and gets people who worship at the altar of bands like Kampfar and Aura Noir all hot and bothered. It’s hard to argue with them this time out. This Ukrainian outfit build layer upon layer of eerie keyboard melodies, clean and distorted guitars, and some truly haunted vocal performances coming out with a collection of songs that show off a veteran-like assuredness. Hopefully the word gets out about Mysticism because there’s some really great things happening here.
